Competitive Market Intelligence & Targeting · June 2026
Six sectors. One drive-time core. A women-only, combat-driven, 30-minute wedge that no competitor inside that core can match — mapped against 45 real operators across Lanaudière and the Rive-Nord.
01 — Who we are
We don't sell access to equipment. We sell a 30-minute, fully-coached, women-only workout that blends boxing, kickboxing and strength in a deliberately no-judgment room. That exact combination is what makes us hard to copy — and it decides who we actually compete with.
The big-box gyms and boxing clubs aren't rivals — they're our lead source. Women who feel judged at a co-ed 24/7 gym, and women who'd never enter a hardcore boxing club, are exactly who we convert.
02 — The territory
A 30-minute studio is a drive-time business — nobody drives 40 minutes for a 30-minute workout. So the six sectors aren't one market; they're concentric rings around the studio. Every competitor below is plotted by its real GPS bearing and distance from our door at 111 Bd Industriel. Hover any dot.
Dot size = review volume. A magenta ring marks a women-only operator. The ★ star at the center is us — the only women-only + combat + 30-min studio anywhere in the core.
03 — Market sizing
Population by sector (2025–2026 Québec decree), tagged by the ring that should govern spend. Tiers 1–2 hold 130,000+ residents inside a realistic 15-minute drive — far more addressable women than the studio can hold. The instinct to chase all six towns is exactly how a boutique bleeds its budget.
04 — Competitive landscape
Filter by type or by ring. Almost no one checks both "women-only" and "coached" inside our core — and no one adds combat and a 30-minute promise on top. Ratings are live (stars · review count).
05 — White space
Plot every operator against the two axes that define our product. The further toward "women-only + coached + combat + 30-minute express," the emptier the field. Our marketing problem isn't differentiation — it's awareness and conversion.
| Co-ed | Mostly women | Women-only | |

06 — Surgical targeting
"Surgical" means a small number of clearly-defined audiences, reached in a tight geography, with a message tied directly to the wedge.
"30 minutes" defeats the time objection; women-only removes self-consciousness post-baby.
Lanaudière female median age ~47. Sticky, high-retention. Combat-fitness proven popular here.
Feel judged or lost in co-ed 24/7 gyms. The no-judgment room is the entire hook.
Already chose women-only; frustrated by hours, no coaching, no community.
Want the empowerment of hitting pads but would never enter a fight gym.

The bottom line
Convert the women already raising their hands. Treat Terrebonne and Joliette as the franchise's next chapters, not this studio's ad budget.
